The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), along with Publix Super Markets of Lakeland, Florida, are issuing a voluntary warning against allergen in Publix brand Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

According to Maria Brous, the Publix director of media and community relations, "The chocolate chip dough may contain pecans. As a food safety precaution, we are recalling the product. There have been no reported cases of illness. Customers who have purchased the product may return it to their store for a full refund or replacement."

According to Publix, the label on the 'Chub' size cookie dough, with a date code of 17 Sept. 2006 and an item code (UPC) of 41415-00703, did not indicate that the dough contained pecans.

The FDA says the cookie dough was sold at the Publix stores in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.
