Parents Concerned over 16-month-old boy’s Overweight

The 20 kg weight of a 16-month-old Orissa boy is turning out to be a major worry for his labourer parents .

Rahul is the only son of daily wage earner Mahadev Mahanand and his wife Puspanjali who live in Rasham village in the western district of Bargarh, 415 km from here.

The parents say they feed only rice to the child who was born normal but has gained enormous weight and is 20 kg now. An average child his age weighs about 10 kg.
