IOF world congress to discuss osteoporosis: a multi group of experts to attend

The IOF world congress on osteoporosis saw a host of allied health professional converge on a platform to discuss osteoporosis.

It was held at Toronto in Canada.

In the words of Professor René Rizzoli, chairman, IOF Committee of Scientific Advisors and chairman, IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis 2006 Scientific Committee, "We are delighted that allied health professionals will be participating in this important congress as they form an important part of the team in osteoporosis prevention, diagnosis and treatment. The care of patients with osteoporosis relies on the entire spectrum of health care professionals, not just physicians."

The presenters for the congress were:-

• Ina Radziunas, Canada (nursing)

• Prof. Susan Barr, Canada (dietetics)

• Dr. Darien Lazowski-Fraher, Canada (physiotherapy)

• Azeena Ratansi, Canada (occupational therapy)

This would be helpful in generating awareness and help osteoporosis patients
