Medical Centre Opened In Tsunami-Hit Village

Medical centre inaugurated in tsunami-hit village Nagapattinam,May 25 (pti) As part of Tsunami relief efforts , a medical and community centre was inaugurated at Thennampattinam, a tsunami-hit village in Sirkali Taluk in Nagapattinam district.

Prof Dr K Wucherer,member, corporate executive committee of Siemens, AG declared open the centre constructed by the German business community and Consulate General, Earthquake assistant foundation through Srinivasan services trust.

The German business community and other groups comprising german corporates including Siemens and Thyssenkrupp Bayer,provided funds to the tune of rs 25 lakh.

Srinivasan services trust is a corporate NGO of TVS Group. District Collector T S Jawahar, Jueregen Schubert, Managing Director, Siemens, Stephen Gerlich, Country head, Bayer Group in India and Ashok Joshi of Srinivasan services trust also spoke.
