Six persons were arrested for allegedly selling fake question papers of the Combined Pre-Medical Test (CPMT), which was held at 137 centres across 17 districts in the state today, police said.

Five persons were arrested in Allahabad and another person was held here for selling CPMT question papers, which later turned out to be fake, they said.

Vice Chancellor of K G Dental University, which organised the CPMT examinations this year, C P Govila told reporters that there was no leakage of question papers.

The pattern of question papers was changed this year and the seized question papers were in old pattern, Govila said.

He said there were 86,000 applicants for the CPMT examinations this year.
