Viagra Used to Enhance On Field Performance by AFL Players, Reports Radio Host
In a recent blog, 3AW radio host Neil Mitchell has claimed that Viagra, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction, has become extremely popular among AFL football players to enhance on field performance.

He reports that athletes with low testosterone levels use it for its original purpose, as the drug is not banned by many local sport authorities and the World Doping Authority.

Viagra actually works by preventing draining of blood thereby maintaining erection. However, many players believe that taking the pill increases the blood flow, which could help them perform better on field.

Recently, news agency AFP had reported that football players with a leading Peruvian team, Alianza Lima were thinking about using the drug to improve physical conditions while playing matches at high altitudes.
