US Officials To Stop Ebola Screening For Air Passengers from Liberia
Federal agencies in the US announced that travelers from Liberia will no longer be screened for Ebola. However, the screening and monitoring will continue for travelers from Guinea and Sierra Leone.
Travelers from West Africa fill out questionnaires and have their temperatures checked at five airports in the US that service connecting flights from West Africa.

The screening of travelers from the three West African nations began last October when the countries reported Ebola epidemic in world history.

The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Customs and Borders protection decided to remove Liberia from screening list as Ebola is no longer spreading in the country. Liberia will continue to screen passengers for Ebola as they leave the country.

The World Health Organization declared Liberia free of Ebola on September 3. Guinea and Sierra Leone reports new cases of Ebola.
