The University of Jammu has set up an extension of its campus at Bhaderwah in an effort to bring higher education to the hills of Kashmir.
Initially, established in a rented accommodation in 2006, the state-of-the-art campus at Sungli Bhaderwah was dedicated to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir by President Pratibha Patil in May last year.

"This campus is really an eco-friendly campus because we have tulip gardens and orchards surrounding our campus. Gardens have been maintained properly by the university administration," said Anamika Parihar, student at Bhaderwah campus.
