 Treatment for Frizzy Hair

Scientists have found the treatment for frizzy hair by creating a product that keeps hair straight no matter what the atmosphere.

Prof Robert Langer, who has previously created ear shaped cartilage, has developed the new product called No Frizz.

"Humidity is hair's number one enemy. It expands the hair shaft and that is why you get frizz. And the more damaged your hair is, the more porous. Our material seals the hair with a thin coating and prevents humidity from going in and out, solving the problem of frizz at its root," said Rob Robillard, from Living Proof, the US manufacturer of No Frizz.

The product claims to prevent hair from coming into contact with tiny droplets of water, which make it curl up. Prof Langer used polyfluoroester, a man-made water and oil repellent compound, to make this product.
