 Toll Free Number for Swine Flu Announced

The Telangana government has announced the toll-free number to attend to swine flu cases in the state.

People can call 104 to get complete information about swine flu vaccines and medicines. If anyone who suspects of attracting swine flu is advised to visit a nearby government hospital.

Meanwhile, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is launching a full-fledged awareness campaign and sanitation drive. Children and slum-dwellers would be senstitised about dos and don't's to prevent the spread of infection, as part of the campaign.

The civic body would also be taking up a sanitation drive in the slums with special focus on high-risk areas where swine flu cases were reported. The Corporation would deploy 24 vehicles with one medical officer, two nurses and a local community organiser.

Zonal commissioner, deputy commissioner and special officers would coordinate in carrying out the campaign. The civic body officials along with district medical officers would be sensitizing people about swine flu.
