Tiny Motor for Strokes

 Tiny Motor for Strokes
A tiny motor, as minute as a grain of salt, and not visible to the naked eye, has been developed by an Australian research team.
The motor is so tiny that it is possible to drive through the arteries of the brain.

The micro motor is designed to steer the catheter to the site of the stroke. The motor, which is now undergoing laboratory testing has the potential to treat stroke and aneurysms.

"At this stage we are targeting the arteries of the brain. But of course there is no reason why this cannot be applied to other parts of the body such as the heart, kidneys or other organ systems," researchers said.
