 Thunderstorms can Trigger Asthma
Doctors in Melbourne have issued a word of caution about the deadly combination of increased pollen levels and high winter rainfall which can trigger asthma in allergy prone victims.
Experts from Austin Health have warned that severe asthma attacks can result from a combination of high winter rainfall and high pollen levels in the Victorian capital especially if thunderstorms come up during this spring and summer.

Asthma victims who are sensitive to pollen and prone to allergies should know that they are at an increased risk of asthma during fierce storms.

Pollen simply gets dispersed into the air as tiny particles during a thunderstorm and people who are allergic can suffer an asthma attack.
