Three Teenagers In Paternity Contest Over Child Of 15-Year-Old Girl

Three UK teenagers are locked in a paternity contest over the child of a 15-year-old girl. All of them claim they have had unprotected sex with the girl, Chantelle Steadman.

Alfie Patten, all of 13, the boy, thus far identified as the father, is said to have hurled a challenge – ‘Lets have DNA test to prove who’s the real father.’

He seems to be upset his credibility is in question. Never mind, he doesn’t earn, doesn’t get much of a pocket money, his parents are divorced, doesn’t even know the price of a nappy, why, not even the meaning of the term financially.

In fact some reports claim that he is scared by all the media attention, but all the same determined to show he is the real father.
He made headlines around the world last week when The Sun reported that he was the father of Chantelle Steadman’s baby girl Maisie. The baby was born five days ago.

But since then, two other boys have publicly claimed to be the father of the child.

Richard Goodsell, 16, a trainee chef, told the News of the World he had sex with Chantelle at her home at least three times at the time when she fell pregnant.

“I know I could be the father,” he said. “Everyone thinks I am. My friends all tell me that baby has my eyes, even my mum thinks so.

“Only a DNA test is going to sort this out properly. If I am the father, I have the right to know.”

But Tyler Barker, 14, another boy in the unseemly race, seems genuinely upset.

“I slept with Chantelle in her bed about nine months ago and I’m really worried I could be the father,” he told the News of the World.

“I hope it’s not me. All my mates have been teasing me about it but this isn’t funny, it’s serious.”

Both boys and their parents have made sworn statements in front of a solicitor detailing their nights of sex with Chantelle. They also claim they were not the only ones have unprotected sex slept with Chantelle around the time she conceived.

“We didn’t use any contraception,” Richard said. “It wasn’t my first time. But when we split up I found out that she was having sex with lots of other boys I knew.

“To be honest, any one of my mates could be the dad”.

Sean Thomas, 20, claimed: ‘She is not a young innocent girl who got pregnant with the first boy who came along.’

But Chantelle’s mother Penny said: ‘It’s rubbish, Chantelle lost her virginity to Alfie.’

But Alfie himself stood firm on his claim to be Maisie's father.

He told The Sun: "Other stupid boys are lying, saying bad things, like they have slept with Chantelle too.

"But I am the only boyfriend she has had and we've been together for two years, so I must be the dad.

"When she found out she was having a baby, I asked her 'Am I the dad?' and she went 'Yeah' so I believe her.

"I didn't know about DNA tests before, but Mum explained it's when they do a swab in your mouth and it tells you if you're the dad.

"So, if I have that, they can all shut up. But I don't really care what people say. And I don't like them being bad about Chantelle."

While most social leaders in the UK are agonizing over the phenomenon of teenage pregnancies, the divorced parents of Alfe are said to be vying with each other to make the maximum of their current notoriety, striking lucrative media deals.

Mother Nicola angrily accused her former husband Dennis, 45, of selling their son’s story without her knowledge.

But within 24 hours she was said to be negotiating herself.

Last night it was claimed she had secured a five-figure deal.

Dennis is said to have told a reporter: ‘I wish this baby had never been born but it has. Alfie is too young but I have to make the most of it. I’m going to make as much money as I can.’

As he spoke on Friday, his son, who looks no older than eight, was curled up in the back of his father’s car and crying audibly.

Dennis said: ‘I’m taking Alfie to London with me. I want to sell his story because I’ve heard people can get us loads of money for Alfie’s story.

It is an attractive story, Alfie is a father and he only looks eight years old! He is really upset but I have told him I will make him a packet.’

Dennis, a father of nine who also has three stepchildren, split from Nicola, 43, two years ago after she caught him having an affair with a 19-year-old.

He has three children with Nicola – Alfie, Joe, 16, and Isabella, 11 – and another son Leyton, 23, by a previous relationship.

On guard was Alfie’s half-sister Jade, 19. She is also believed to have had a child at 13 and is Nicola’s daughter from another relationship.

Jade said: ‘Dennis is so out of order. Alfie is a scared little boy.’
