Three Oxford Scholars Opt to Cryogenically Preserve Their Brains
Three Oxford scholars have taken an unusual step to ensure that their intellectual capacity is not diminished in future lives.

Nick Bostrom, professor of philosophy at the Future of Humanity Institute (FHI) and his co-researcher Anders Sandberg have made arrangements to deep freeze their heads in the event of their death, while their colleague Stuart Armstrong has decided to get this whole body frozen.
The Independent reported that a cryopreservation team will be on hand when the researchers are considered terminally ill. Upon the doctor’s pronouncement of death, a machine will keep pumping blood while the body is being cooled. Additionally, the patient’s blood stream will be infused with preservatives and anti-freeze to protect the tissue.

The body will then be placed in a vat of liquid nitrogen at a suitable facility where it will be stored until technological advances make it possible to revive it.
