The Case of Light-Skinned and Dark-Skinned Twins

The Case of Light-Skinned and Dark-Skinned Twins
Twins Triniti and Ghabriael Cunningham have a different shade of skin color in what is a case that occurs once in a million times.
The 17-month-old siblings are like any other set of twins except for one difference. Ghabriael is light-skinned, whereas Triniti is dark-skinned.

“People don’t really react when we’re out in public until they realize they are twins,” the children’s mother, Khristi Cunningham told the Star. “They were our perfect miracle babies. We were more worried about them being healthy and eating properly.”

While twins generally have the same skin and eye color, it is a known fact that different genes encode for these two parameters in the human body. For the Cunningham family, the twins are a miracle as Khristi had miscarried due to an incompetent cervix last year. And that really is more important that skin color as far as the proud parents are concerned.
