Britain's leading supermarket chain Tesco has upped the ante in the race for claiming the major share of over the counter sales of Viagra by announcing that it will be selling the anti-impotence drug for half the price than currently available.
The only place where Viagra could be purchased from a store for the past year was Boots which was selling four pills for £55.
However Tesco has revealed that it will be offering eight pills for just £52 but only those who are aged between 45 to 60 years and who have had a health check are eligible to buy the pills.
Confirming the price, the supermarket's spokesman Shona Scott said, "Tesco will be the cheapest service in the country for those who don't have a private prescription from their GP. At the moment only Boots offer a similar service for which they charge £55 for just four tablets."
