The cream of European disc-jockeys blasted out tunes for tens of thousands of revellers on the streets of Paris as the city celebrated its tenth annual Techno Parade Saturday.
Police put the turnout for the parade at 80,000 people compared to the event organiser's figure of 500,000.

But what was not in dispute was the return of "Techtonik" dance as a popular trend among French music fans.
"There are more and more people," said event organiser Brice Mourer.
"The Techno Parade is firmly part of Paris' festival and music calender," he added, while lamenting that the police prevents the event from taking place more often.
Under glorious sunshine, the street parade followed a five-kilometre (three-mile) route between the French capital's two main opera houses, Palais Garnier and Bastille Opera.
Almost 200 DJs, including French electro star David Vendetta and German artist Ellen Allien, mixed their tunes on 20 sound systems, which organisers tried to keep to a minimum sound level of 105 decibels.
Meanwhile, as a precaution Paris' mayoral department distributed 100,000 free ear plugs.
