A survey by the Teenage Cancer Trust has found that 26% of teenagers are at a high risk of developing skin cancer

"We need to make young people more aware of the dangers of cancer in later life,” said trust spokesman Simon Davis.
The survey also found that some 22% of teenagers have been badly burnt as they fell asleep under the sun. Furthermore, 74% believed that it is not possible to get burnt on cloudy days.
In order to increase awareness of the risk of skin cancer, the Trust is launching a campaign called Shunburn, which will send burn alert SMS’ to teenagers on hot days.
