Teen Who Cannot Eat Food Wants to be Chef
Samantha Pecoraro wants to a chef although she is barred from eating vegetables such as broccoli, artichokes and salad.
The 15-year-old teenager has a rare disorder called eosinophils of the esophagus, which means she can only eat plain potatoes, the Daily Mail reported. This disorder is autoimmune in nature, which means the body’s own cells attack the food as it passes down the digestive tract.

"I miss Mac and cheese and chicken fingers and salads and artichokes and broccoli," Samantha told ABCNews.com, adding that if she ate all these foods, she would have a severe allergic reaction.

Her mother, Susan McCarthur is heartbroken for her daughter, “She just turned 15 and she could not eat birthday cake. During celebrations, she can't eat Christmas cookies or a turkey dinner. She just sits there and eats potato.”

However, Samantha has not lost hope, and is taking cooking classes and wants to become a professional chef.
