After overcoming two serious conditions in the past 6years Apple Inc. chief executive Mr. Steve Jobs has taken a leave on medical grounds.Previously Mr. Jobs has survived pancreatic cancer and has also undergone a liver transplant.

The latest news about Mr. Job's health came at the end of last week, when the launch of Rupert Murdoch's iPad had been indefinitely delayed. During the event Mr. Jobs had to appear on stage alongside Mr. Murdoch. In Mr. Job's absence Apple's chief operating officer Tim Cook will cover up Apple's day-to-day operations.

In his short memo which did not elaborate about Mr. Steve Job's condition or its seriousness, he said, "I will continue as chief executive and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company. I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can." This surprise announcement sent shockwaves through the technology industry and raised speculation over Mr. Job's future and that of Apple itself.
