Tapping into the World of Bugs to Solve Food Demand
Did you know that worms can be a source of proteins, vitamins and minerals?

Thailand may give us some lessons on innovative thinking to find answers to the growing global food crisis by exploring the world of insects.

More recently, The United Nations' Food and Agricultural Organization has come out with a booklet about worms that can become food. This is especially important as the demand for food is forecasted to grow by 60% by 2050.

Apparently, a study into this area showed that bugs have already been tapped as a potential source of food in rural areas. People did make a meal healthy meal out of worms like crickets and grasshoppers. Little wonder that in Thailand, cricket farming alone is a $30 million industry.

Indeed, opening a can of worms can now be a positive move!
