Swine Flu Death: Union Health Minister Says No Need to Panic

Two days after a woman died due to the swine flu in Ghaziabad, Union Health Minister J P Nadda said there was no need to panic over the disease.

"I want to assure people there is no need to panic, Health Ministry is capable enough to deal with it. 17 government hospitals in Delhi have adequate medical facilities to deal with this disease," said Nadda.

Be Cautious of Swine Flu Though There are No Positive Cases Yet
Birds have been tested positive for Avian flu at the Sukhna lake in Punjab, and there are reports of mysterious deaths of over 300 crows.

The Health Minister appealed people to visit nearest the government hospital if any case of swine flu is observed.

"I appeal people to visit nearest government hospital if any such case (swine flu) is observed," he added.

As per reports, a 51-year-old woman from Ghaziabad died of multiple organ failure at Delhi's Ganga Ram hospital on Wednesday, after testing positive for swine flu.

Three Swine Flu Deaths Reported in Oman
Three new deaths from the swine flu virus have been reported in Oman.

The woman was first admitted to a hospital in Ghaziabad there for fever and cold but was reportedly shifted to Ganga Ram hospital in a critical state with both lungs damaged.
