Swine Flu Death Toll Rises to 1,041 in India

The swine flu epidemic in India has claimed the lives of 36 more people, taking the total death toll in the country to 1,041. The total number of people affected by the H1N1 virus also stands at 19,000 now.

The worst-hit states so far have been Rajasthan and Gujarat, with 234 and 231 deaths, respectively.
