The first ever swine flu case reported in West Bengal has taken the number of Indian cases to 74. The latest victim is eight-year-old girl Shruti Ghosh, who arrived recently from Australia.
Meanwhile the National Institution of Communicable Diseases (NICD) confirmed that a 15-year-old girl from Hong Kong had tested positive for the influenza A (H1N1) or swine flu virus.Delhi continues to have the highest number of cases in the country at 31, followed by Hyderabad at 17. A couple, who travelled from the US via Germany, was the latest cases in Delhi.
Meanwhile Chandigarh also reported its first swine flu case on Wednesday.
