Swine Flu Awareness Camp in Delhi
A three-day awareness campaign for swine flu in Delhi begins March 11, Wednesday. This had been promised by the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ajay Maken on Tuesday.
"We want to help the government to fight against swine flu. We have called upon our MLA candidates, corporation candidates and former district presidents for our support as well," said Ajay Maken, chief, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee.

"The Congress workers are really enthusiastic to work. In the coming days, Congress will talk about social issues of common people. We are not just here to criticize the government instead we will give our contribution," he added.

Fifty-one more people have died in New Delhi due to the Swine flu virus raising the toll to 1,370 while the number of affected exceeded 25,000 across the country. According to data collated by the Union Health Ministry, the highest number of 322 deaths were in Gujarat where 5,521 people have been affected by the deadly virus. Rajasthan has reported 321 deaths while 5,949 people have been affected in the state. With Delhi receiving rains in the past few days, health officials fear the virus may only spread more as high temperatures are deterrent to it.
