Manuka honey which is known for its anti-bacterial properties can be used against the superbug. Earlier it was used in dressings but now scientists claim that it could also stop the rate at which superbugs are becoming resistant to antibiotics. It is a cost-effective way of dealing with this nightmare.

Manuka honey is the nectar collected by honey bees foraging on manuka trees (tea tree) in New Zealand. This honey is 10 to 50 times more powerful than regular honey. The honey stops the growth of antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
