Super Specialty Medical Camp Organized in Kerala to Help Poor People

Saukhyam’ super specialty medical camp, an initiative by Hibi Eden, a Member of Legislative Assembly of Kerala (a state in India) from Ernakulam District, has been conducted at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Kochi.

The camp was inaugurated by Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala. The minister said that ‘Saukhyam’ is a commendable effort in the current scenario wherein the poor are often denied specialty treatment because of financial constraints.

Cancer Medical Camp Evokes Good Response At Srinagar
'Medanta' in association with the Department of Health of the Jammu and Kashmir Government organized a medical camp today in Srinagar.

A total of 350 doctors, around 450 nurses and 100 technicians from 27 hospitals in the district participated in the camp. The services of ‘Sanjeevani’, the mobile cancer detection tele-medicine unit of the Malabar Cancer Care Society; the mobile dental unit of Amrita Hospital; the tele-medicine unit of Malabar Gold; and the mobile hearing unit of Little Flower Hospital were made available to the public.

At the camp, arrangements were made for ECG, eco-cardiogram, pulmonary function testing and blood examination of the patients. “As many as 500 patients will be provided the facilities of angiogram and MRI scan as part of follow-up treatment,” said a press statement from Hibi Eden’s office.

The camp was organized in association with Cochin Shipyard Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Kochi.
