Staying Together may Be Fatal for Amy and Blake, Says Her Mother-in-law

Amy Winehouse’s mother-in-law has revealed that she fears the singer and her son Blake Civil-Fielder will die soon if they stay with each other.

Georgette Civil has said that the only way the ‘Rehab’ star can get over her drug and drink addiction would be to deal with it on her own, because she will never quit drugs while she is with Blake.

"All we can think about as we lie awake at night is will we be burying our son in the next few weeks? If he's alive for another year, I think we'll be very lucky," the Daily Mail quoted Georgette, as saying.

"Blake and Amy are like two separate accidents waiting to happen. Their meeting simply exacerbated everything that was wrong in their lives to the verge of tragedy. Our greatest fear is that if one of them dies, the other will commit suicide, such is their love for one another,” she added.

Georgette said that their only hope of survival is to part, arguing that they each bring out the very worst in the other.

“They say they can’t live without each other, but if they stay together they’ll both end up dead. They need time apart to get clean,” she said.

“I don’t want my son or Amy to die young. They must go back to treatment - separately. Amy’s just as bad as Blake and they influence each other,” she added.
