Star Health Insurance Company to Launch Dental Insurance Policy
In any Health Insurance Policy document, if one looks closely at the exclusions listed, they will find that dental treatments are not covered in the health insurance policies unless it requires hospitalization. There are many companies which completely rule out any and all dental or oral treatments.
Indian customers want a variety of policies that will cater to their specific needs. Star Health Insurance Company will soon be launching a unique dental insurance policy within a month.

The company has tie-ups with select network of dental clinics and the new dental insurance policy will cover day care procedures at these dental clinics. Star Health Insurance is working on the finer details like pricing etc before they come out with this one-of-a-kind product in the market.

Mr. S. Sundaresan, Executive Director of Star Health Insurance Company said that they would tie up with over 1,000 dentists and that they were working on standards and eligibility norms for dentists to participate in the initiative.

Star Health Insurance Company is a pioneer in the health insurance industry being the only insurance company to launch a policy for HIV patients in India. It has also launched an innovative plan for diabetic patients called Diabetes Safe. The company is also offering a policy which reduces the waiting time on pre-existing diseases from the average 48 months to 11 months.
