To protect health workers against any pandemic or influenza outbreak, South Australia is coughing up nearly $1.7 million, the Health Minister, Mr. John Hill said. The fund would assist in the procurement of protective gears and necessary equipments that would be necessary to fight a potential influenza outbreak.
This step was imperative because, if the outbreak was uncontrollable, nearly 25% of South Australians could become sick within a span of eight weeks of the outbreak.
