Sociologist Claims Men Who Watch Porn may Support Same-Sex Marriages
A controversial sociologist in the United States claimed that men who regularly watched porn were more likely to support same-sex marriages compared to others.
The study was conducted by Mark Regnerus, who had earlier claimed that children who lived with gay parents were worse off compared to children living with heterosexual couples. Regnerus claimed that watching porn undermined the concept that sexual intercourse involved sharing of body and whole self permanently and exclusively and instead reinforced the belief that people can share their bodies but not their selves.

Regnerus revealed that more than 54 percent of men who watched porn every day or almost every day supported same sex marriages compared to just 13 percent among men who watched porn on a monthly basis.

“Statistical tests confirmed that porn use is a (very) significant predictor of men's support for same-sex marriage, even after controlling for other obvious factors that might influence one's perspective, such as political affiliation, religiosity, marital status, age, education, and sexual orientation”, Regnerus said.
