Social Group Conducts Painting Exhibition in Chennai to Spread AIDS Awareness
A social group conducted a painting exhibition in Chennai to spread awareness about HIV and also to collect funds to improve welfare of patients.
The funds raised by selling the paintings of artists would be utilised to help children affected with HIV /AIDS in India.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Tamil film actor Karthik along with eminent film director Mysskin.

Karthik said that one can do charity through the art exhibition and take home the desired art with him.

"They (organisers) are actually giving a nice opportunity for you to come and do charity. You are taking back wonderful paintings home but you also have the happiness and satisfaction that somewhere some kid is going to be happy because of you," said Karthik.

"It is really going to help in reducing stigma (related to HIV/AIDS) that is one of the things we are really working at. We really need to take care of our children. I think this 'ART-AIDS' is not just one show but it is going to be continuous and this will ensure that," said Raj organiser of the event.

This art exhibition is also planned to travel to places like Bangalore, Mysore and Mumbai to create further AIDS awareness in people across different cities.
