Snoring may Not Up Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

Snoring may Not Up Risk of Cardiovascular Disease
Australian researchers have revealed that snoring by itself does not elevate the risk of cardiovascular disease or death.
Earlier research had indicated that sleep apnea, elevates the risk of mortality. Sleep apnea, a disorder characterized by one or more pauses in breathing or shallow breaths while sleeping, is more serious, they said.

The study found that those who snored most of the night were not at any risk of death.

"The good news at the moment seems to be that snoring, by itself, does not seem to appreciably increase cardiovascular disease or death rates," lead-author Dr Nathaniel Marshall said.
