Smartphone Gets Handy for Health Information
A recent survey on Mobile Health from the Pew Internet & American Life Project has found that 19% of Smartphone users have atleast one health app downloaded onto their device.
The report discovered that one out of three cell phone owners have used their phone to search for health information. The internet connected phone is now a mobile information device, what with internet available with the user all the time.

The survey revealed that 52% of Smartphone users are looking for information on health and this is becoming quite a trend. People begin to use the applications available to make important health changes in their lives.

For instance, they use applications to manage their weight, monitor their diet, and track their exercise. Further, texts and updates from healthcare companies also serve as reminders to Smartphone users about ways to keep healthy.
