Slapping on Make-up Helps Brit Women to Beat the Blues

Nothing lifts a British woman’s spirits more than a slapping on make-up, says the results of a new poll.

The poll, by the London College of Fashion, found that a whopping 85 percent of Brit women feel better if they put on make-up.

78 percent even think that it alters the way people think of them, and 67 percent believe that that they get better service in shops if made-up.

“When we get our make-up right, we know we look good and this gives us confidence,” The Sun quoted Anne Emblem of the London College of Fashion, who did the poll, as saying.

And while men are more likely to date a woman with a lot of make-up, 78 percent also believe that those who shun the rouge and lipstick are more confident.

Red lipstick might be the rage, but most men, according to the poll, think that it’s ‘tarty’.
