Sexual Health Among Teenagers is Very Poor
A new report has lamented on the poor sexual health of teenagers in England and Wales. Health chiefs have admitted that soaring teenage pregnancy rates as well as increasing rates of sexually transmitted infections in London are a major cause for concern.

James Cleverly, chairman of the London Assembly's health and public services committee, said that the need of the hour was a "ten sex czar" who would address vital health needs in this area.

Last year some 1,317 people in every 100,000 aged between 16 and 19 in London were diagnosed with chlamydia infection.

Furthermore the report also found that Camden primary care trust allotted £57.67 per head of the population in order to address sexual health needs, while Bexley PCT spends £5.46 per person. Despite these massive amounts, teen pregnancy rates were similar in both areas.
