Security in WB Hospitals Tightened After Blasts
Following the horrific blasts in Ahemadabad hospital, the West Bengal government has decided to tighten security in civil hospitals and medical colleges in West Bengal.

The state finance minister Asim Dasgupta told media that he has cleared the file and that the security measures would be put in place very soon. "I have cleared the file. It is now up to the home department to take the necessary steps," he added.

Furthermore the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) will be responsible for overseeing security arrangements in medical colleges, while Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) will take care of the civil hospitals.

There are nine government hospitals and medical colleges in the state.
