 Seat Belts Protect During an Accident
Minority children are at an increased risk of car crash-related injuries because many do not adhere to safety instructions like wearing seat belts.
When researchers looked at the statistics of 37,375 children below 16 years of age, only

45.7% worse seat belts while riding in a car. The ones that defaulted in wearing seat belts were found to be Hispanic, Black and Native American children.

Researchers also said that use of seat belts was protective and reduced the rate of severe injuries and complications associated with it. It is important to know that if seat belts are positioned properly, the child will receive maximum protection during a car crash.
