Research Training Program On Rare Disorders For Patients and Caregivers
The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) and the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy join hands to create a training program for patients and caregivers about rare-disease research training.
Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute provided a grant to fund the program. The program hopes to train patients and caregivers “to become more involved in research in ways that may ultimately impact the treatment of their disease,” the organizations said in a release.

The goal of the training is to give NORD members the tools and know-how to become more involved in patient-centered outcomes research and grow their understanding of rare diseases and ultimately advance research.
