Reindeer Made from Diseased Grass Seized by Customs in US
Custom officials at the Los Angeles airport revealed that they have seized two Christmas reindeers which were made from grass and materials which are banned according to the US import rules.
The grass that was used to make the reindeers was also diseased, posing serious threat to US agriculture products while the materials used contained seeds that did not have proper certification to be allowed into the country, the customs officals added.

“Upon inspection, CBP agriculture specialists found that the reindeer were made of grass material which contained seeds that could be propagated. The blades of the grass also showed possible disease symptoms”, the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency said, adding that the reindeers were brought by a passenger arriving from El Salvador.
