Redheads Need More Painkillers Than Other Counterparts
Being a redhead not only influences your social circles but may also have a bearing on your health after a recent study found that those with red hair require greater levels of anesthetics and painkillers compared to others.
The study was conducted by researchers from Southampton University Hospital and included redheads over 30 years of age.

The researchers were hoping to find out whether people with red hair and pale skin had a different response to pain and found that those who had red hair felt more pain than others.

A similar study carried out by American researchers back in 2002 also found that people with red hair required on average 19 percent more painkillers compared to those with black or brown hair.
