Recalling Past Events can Keep Dementia at Bay: Study
A new study has revealed that taking a trip down memory lane could be the key to keeping dementia at bay.
George McNamara, spokesman for Alzheimer's Society said that reminiscing can be a powerful way of communicating with a person with dementia, the Daily Express reported.

The researcher said that the very nature of dementia often means it's easier to recall older memories than remembering day-to-day events and older memories have strong sentimental value and can help tap into positive emotions in the present.

Experts believe this recognition allows patients to be able to find their way around their new surroundings with much more ease.
