Rajinikanth is back in intensive care and this has sparked off fresh speculation on the Indian film superstar’s health. Worried fans continue to pray ardently and perform poojas for Rajinikanth’s speedy recovery.
Rajinikanth has been hospitalized on and off since he fell ill after the first day of shooting for his new film ‘Rana’ and was moved to a special ward of Sri Ramachandra hospital on Wednesday to improve his breathing. According to hospital sources Rajinikanth is being treated for pneumonia and a kidney ailment.

“A multi-disciplinary team is closely watching his vital parameters to assess the benefits from a multi-pronged treatment strategy,” Sri Ramachandra hospital statement said.

Rajinikanth’s family has urged frenzied fans to offer prayers in temples and not hold vigil at the hospital in Chennai. The 61-year-old Indian superstar who has acted in more than 175 films including ‘Endhiran’ (Robot) which broke box office records last year, commands a huge fan base in India and abroad.
