Queensland health has announced that it will be slashing the wait times for elective surgeries in Rockhampton Hospital.
Dr Bill Beresford revealed that some 680 patients had already had their elective surgeries performed at private facilities. "This will mean a significant reduction in the number of patients on the elective surgery waiting list," Dr Beresford said.It was also announced that the number of patients waiting to have surgery since March 1 was down by over 45 percent to 3549 as compared to last year's numbers.
