Poppy-Free Pakistan Continues to be a Global Drug-Smuggling Conduit, States UN Report
Pakistan has been declared as a poppy-free country by The United Nations, but held it is used as a route for smuggling drugs worth 30 billion dollars from Afghanistan.
UN representatives said Pakistan is a major route for the smuggling of Afghan drugs and its provinces- Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa- have been facing a challenge in this regard, reports The Nation.

The UN said in its report that one-third of Afghan drugs are smuggled to other countries via Pakistani coastal areas of Balochistan.
