Pledge to Proactively Help Accident, Sexual and Domestic Violence Victims Made By Amity Law School Students
A pledge to proactively help victims of road accidents, sexual or domestic violence was taken by students of the Amity Law School.
Over 89 students gave the pledge.

The pledge is as follows: "I make a declaration that whenever I see an accident victim asking for help of police/ambulance I being a law student and on ground of humanity will render my services to the best of my ability so that incident such as recent Delhi gang rape case where victims after the incident were left helpless on road even after crying for help from passersby, are not repeated.

Further, I undertake that I would render the requisite assistance to the best of my capabilities to any victim of sexual or domestic violence. "

These budding lawyers including 47 boys and 42 girls have shown great solidarity in seeking justice for the 23-year-old medical student who met unfortunate tragedy during the fateful night of December 16, 2012.

They have been participating in peaceful protests at Jantar Mantar and India Gate seeking justice for the departed soul and respect, safety and equal status for female gender in India.

They have picked up the cudgels to make India a safe and secure country for the women. Though this effort seems be a small drop in the ocean but undoubtedly, augurs a new dawn when the dignity and integrity of women would be placed on high pedestal and they would no longer be considered as "weaker sex"

Archana Mishra and Monica Suri- faculty members from Amity Law School joined the students in the noble initiative.
