Parents should be banned from teaching their children the skills of driving as they do not have sufficient driving skills themselves, a recent survey by south Australia's peak motoring

More than 49 per cent told the RAA they did not have the skills required to teach a learner.
The survey was conducted after V8 Supercar racer Mark Skaife demanded for parents to be banned from teaching children to drive, as a means of improving road safety, reports News.com.au.
Skaife said that a lot of parents passed on their own bad driving habits to their children.
