Overdose of Cocaine Lands 11-Year-Old in Hospital

Drug abuse is not a problem among adults alone. In a recent case, an eleven year old child was admitted to the hospital for over-dose of cocaine.

This case is not a freak case as in the last five years, 74 children below 17 years have been treated at the same hospital for alcohol and drug abuse. While 56 children received treatment for alcohol abuse, one case involved a 12 -year-old admitted for alcoholism and addiction to painkillers and cannabis.
