Outbreak of Infection Behind Deaths of Two Babies in Belfast Hospital
Belfast Health Trust has reported that an outbreak of infection is behind the death of two babies at the Royal Maternity Hospital in Belfast.

According to a hospital representative's account, the deaths are associated to an outbreak of pseudomonas, caused by a bacteria found in plants, water, soil and in animals.

Health Minister Edwin Poots, said, "This is a serious incident. The priority now is to identify the source of the infection and minimize the risk of spread to other extremely vulnerable babies in the unit."
