Scofield’s death was confirmed by his agent Rosalind Chatto on Mar 21.

Chatto said that the great stage and silver screen actor had died in a hospital near his Suffolk home on Mar 19.

"He had leukaemia and had not been well for some time," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
